Marcus J. Moore is a music journalist, senior editor and pop culture commentator, whose coverage of jazz, soul and hip-hop can be found in TIME, The New York Times, The Nation, and Entertainment Weekly, among other outlets. “The Butterfly Effect,” his biography of Pulitzer Prize-winning rapper Kendrick Lamar, was commissioned by Atria Books (an imprint of Simon & Schuster) and published in 2020 to widespread acclaim.
