Captured by Paul Natkin: Pete Townshend and Roger Daltrey, 1989 (In Action)

As photographer Paul Natkins tells it, in July of 1989 a friend and publicist called him with an intriguing invite: “Come and pick me up at my hotel” so we can go visit The Who in Alpine, Wisconsin. Because the legendary band “seemed to break up every couple of years,” Natkins jumped at the opportunity. This special shot is from that memorable visit. Hear the story now.

“Let’s drive up to Wisconsin and hang out with The Who.”
